Mysuru: A day-long Gujarati food fest-Anand Mela, that began at Gujarati Samaj Bhavan, 2nd Main, Eighth Cross, Yadavagiri in city is attracting hundreds of people from all walks of life and local residents.
The fest also features sale and exhibition of Gujarati arts and crafts, home-made products and other articles. Entry to the festival is through a ticket. The mela which was being organised since decades had stopped a few years ago due to some reasons. However, the mela has been revived this year.
Gujarati vegetarian delicacies like Khandvi, Phephda, Patra, Khakhara, Thepla, Dhokla, Seva Khamani, Puri Undhyu, Shrikhand, Jalebi, Fafda and many other month-watering food items are available at the food fest which concludes at 6 pm today. There are 20 stalls offering a variety of Gujarati vegetarian foods, which are prepared on the spot. The fest also features fun games and other entertainment events.
