Liquidation of Co-op. Societies

The Chetana Multi-purpose Souharda Co-operative Society and Periyasiri Multi-purpose Souharda Co-operative Society, both in Periyapatna taluk of Mysuru district, have ceased to function for long. Though the two Societies have ceased to function for over three years, no proposals or plans have been received for their revival. As such, the Co-operation Department has proposed to liquidate them, for which it has invited objections from the members of the Societies or general public, who are still willing to revive them. The objections must be filed before the concerned competent authority within 15 days. In case no objections are received within the 15-day deadline, the Co-operation Department will go ahead with the liquidation of the two Societies, according to a press release issued by the Deputy Registrar of Co-operative Societies, according to a press release.
