Liquidation of Co-operative Societies: Objections invited

Mysuru, June 27 (DM)- Several Co-operative Societies in Mysuru Sub-Division and Hunsur Sub-Division have ceased to function in accordance with the by-laws outlined in Karnataka Co-operative Societies Act 1959.

As the Societies have ceased to function, the Co-operation Department has decided to liquidate these Societies as per Section 72 of Karnataka Co-operative Societies Act 1959. However, members of the Societies and the public who are willing to revive the Societies, can file their objections, if any, in writing along with supporting documents to the competent authority within 15 days. If no objections are received within the deadline, the Department will go ahead with the liquidation of the Societies, which are listed as under:

The Department cannot be held responsible for any objections received after liquidation, according to a press release from the Assistant Registrar of Co-operative Societies, Mysuru district.
