Living art installation and play on Nov. 30

November 24, 2025

Mysore/Mysuru: ‘I Won’t Do It,’ a pioneering theatre production by the ColorAshram Foundation that merges ecological storytelling with powerful historical drama, will be presented at Jagannatha Centre for Art and Culture (JCAC) in Vijayanagar on Nov. 30 from 5.30 pm to 7.30 pm.

Namrata Bhutoria has directed the play. Inspired by Valentin Rasputin’s Live and Remember, the play is set in a Siberian village during WWII, following a deserter and his wife as they navigate love, loyalty and the cost of saying “No” to a regime demanding blind obedience.

Living Art Installation: Uniquely, this production is also a visual statement on regeneration. Every costume, prop and set piece is created entirely from plant-based and mineral natural dyes. The stage itself breathes, symbolising beauty and resistance beyond fossil fuels.
