Lok Adalat: 11,293 cases disposed off at City Courts

Mysore/Mysuru: As many as 11,000 cases were settled at the National Lok Adalat held in the City Courts here on Saturday.

The Lok Adalat also saw the reunion of 41 warring couples, who had applied for divorce a few years ago.

A total of 11,293 cases out of the 22,678 cases, which were taken up for resolution, were disposed off in the City and Taluk Courts.

A whopping 1,28,607 cases are pending in City Courts, out of which 64,530 are civil and 64,077 are criminal in nature, of which 44,312 are recognised as compoundable cases.
