May 18, 2025

Mysuru: Three houses were completely gutted in an accidental fire at Bore Anandur village in the taluk yesterday.

The houses, which were destroyed, belonged to Shanivaregowda, Venkateshgowda and Srinivasagowda of the village.

Household items worth lakhs of rupees kept in the three houses have been destroyed. Luckily, no one was injured as there were nobody at the three houses at the time when the fire broke out.

Fire and Emergency Services personnel from Saraswathipuram, Hebbal and Srirangapatna Fire Stations, who rushed to the spot along with fire extinguishing vehicles, managed to douse the fire and prevented it from spreading further.

It is suspected that a LPG cylinder blast may have triggered the fire but the exact cause for the fire is yet to be ascertained.
