M.G. Road-Ramanuja Road Junction too needs attention

December 11, 2023

Sir,

It is reported that Mysuru City Police are contemplating installation of additional Traffic Signal Lights in different areas to monitor, regulate and control  the ever-increasing traffic of this heritage city.

While the proposal is welcome, City Police need to look at the traffic problems at several other areas also. One such road is the Junction of M.G. Road and Ramanuja Road near Pataala Anjaneya Swamy temple.

This is one of the worst intersections leading to road blockade every other moment. Road users from all four directions rush without giving room for other vehicles.

The Traffic Police is alert sometimes, otherwise, he is busy talking to someone or watching his mobile phone.

I request the Traffic Police  to study the problem of this road and initiate appropriate action for the smooth flow of traffic.
