Mysuru: Helped by knocks of Aniketh Reddy (69 not out off 35 balls), Shaun Joseph (52 runs off 33 balls) and Abul Hasan Khalid (36 runs off 26 balls), Vijaya Cricket Club defeated Bangalore Occasionals by 30 runs in the ongoing M.N. Bhagath Simha Memorial State Level Cricket Tournament-2025 at SDNR Wadiyar Stadium in Manasagangothri yesterday.

Having won the toss and electing to bat first, Vijaya CC posted 202/5 in 20 overs. Both M.G. Naveen and Lavish Kaushal scalped one wicket each. In reply, Bangalore Occasionals managed to score 172/7 in 20 overs with Kranthi Kumar scoring 52 not out off 36 balls and Bhuvan Raju scoring 45 off 32 balls. Adtiya Goyal and Vidyadhar Patil scalped two wickets each for Bangalore Occasionals. Aniketh Reddy was declared ‘Player of the Match.’

Rajajinagar Cricketers thump Jai Hind CC

In the other match played at JSS-SJCE grounds, Rajajinagar Cricketers defeated Jai Hind Cricket Club by 22 runs. Having put into bat first, Rajajinagar Cricketers scored 180/8 in 20 overs. Sireesh scored 60 off 29 balls while Rohit scored 41 runs off 27 balls. For Jai Hind CC, Darshan picked up three wickets while Clement Rajmohan scalped two wickets.

In reply, Jai Hind CC scored 158/7 in 20 overs falling short by 22 runs. While Kruthik Krishna scored 49 runs off 32 balls and Neeraj scored 25 off 22 balls for Jai Hind CC, Sheethal Kumar picked up four wickets and Sahil Sharma took three wickets for Rajajinagar Cricketers. Sheethal Kumar was declared the ‘Player of the Match.’

Navodaya CC scores over Cambridge CC

City’s Navodaya CC scored 28 runs over Cambridge CC in the match played at JSS-SJCE Grounds here yesterday.

Having asked to bat first, Navodya CC scored 209/6 in 20 overs. Shivakumar scored 71 runs off 41 balls and Sudhanwa Kulkarni scored 55 runs of 29 balls for Navodaya CC. Jayanth took three wickets while Shubhang took two wickets for Cambridge CC.

Chasing a target of 210 runs, Cambridge CC scored 181/7 in 20 overs. While Shubhang scored 47 runs off 37 balls, M.B. Shivam scored 37 runs off 28 balls. Shivakumar picked up two wickets for Navodaya CC. Shivakumar was awarded the player of the match of his all-round performance.

Swastik Union CC beats JoJo CC

Bengaluru’s Swastik Union Cricket Club beat JoJo Cricket Club of Mysuru by six wickets in the match played at SDNR Wadiyar Stadium yesterday. Having won the toss and electing to field first, Swastik Union CC were able to restrict JoJo Cricket CC for 147 all out in 19.4 overs. While Sathwik Sairaj scalped four wickets, Dmello took two wickets for Swastik Union CC.

Lochan Gowda scored 33 runs off 23 balls JoJo Cricket CC. In reply, Swastik Union CC scored 149/4 in 18.4 overs. B.N. Yashwanth topped scored with 41 runs off 37 balls and Adhoksh Hegde scored 30 runs off 26 balls. Suraj Seshadri picked up two wickets for JoJo CC. Sathwik Sairaj was declared the ‘Player of the Match.’
