M. Puttaswamy (Puttaraju), former President of Narasimharaja Constituency BJP Backward Classes Morcha, passed away at a private hospital in city yesterday. He was 47.

He was affected with paralysis recently and yesterday he suffered from a heart attack and breathed his last at the hospital.

He leaves behind his mother Ramamma, wife Mahadevi (Madhu), daughter Poorvika, son Dhanush and a host of relatives and friends.

Last rites were held at N.R. Mohalla Burial Grounds yesterday.
