The Mysore Medical College Alumni Association (MAA) is organising ‘MAA Utsav’ on May 27 at the Mysore Medical College and Research Institute (MMC&RI) Platinum Jubilee Hall in JK Grounds here.
This was disclosed by MMC&RI Alumni Association President Dr. S. Chandrashekar at a press conference held at Pathrakartara Bhavan recently.
“The Association has been continuously organising creative activities and acting as a bridge between old students who are spread across the nation and the new students, apart from holding programmes related to medical science. MMC&RI will be celebrating its centenary year in 2024 and this year’s ‘MAA Utsav’ will be very special,” added Dr. Chandrashekar.
On May 27, six doctors, who have distinguished themselves with their meritorious service in the medical field, will deliver lectures during the scientific sessions from 9 am.
The Annual Meeting of the Association will be held at 2 pm followed by felicitation to 20 senior students of 1962 batch at 6 pm.
Former Vice-Chancellor of Mysore University Prof. K.S. Rangappa will be the chief guest on the occasion.
Office-bearers of MMC Alumni Association Dr. P. Malegowda, Dr. S. Prasanna Shankar, Dr. H.B. Shashidhar and Dr. Krishnegowda were present at the press meet.
