Madiga Federation to hold jatha in Bengaluru on Monday

Mysuru: The Federation of Karnataka Madiga Association will hold a jatha demanding implementation of Justice A.J. Sadashiva Commission Report on Dec. 11 (Monday) at 11 am at Freedom Park in Bengaluru, said Federation Convenor Mugur Siddaraju.

Addressing the presspersons at Pathrakarthara Bhavan here on Friday, Siddaraju said that more than 10,000 community members from Mysuru were taking part in the protest rally.

He said the community was seeking internal reservation as per the recommendations of the Sadashiva Commission and added that the 538-km jatha being taken out by the community members would culminate in Bengaluru on Dec. 11.

He also urged the political parties to provide tickets for the Madiga community leaders in the upcoming Assembly polls.

Federation convenors K. Prasanna Chakravarthi, S. Swamy, Bannikuppe Mahadevaswamy, Talakad Kemparaju and others were present.
