Mysuru: For the first time as per the Government order, Madiwala Machaiah Jayanti will be celebrated in the State and accordingly, District Administration has organised a function in that context on Feb.1 at Kalamandira here.

Disclosing this at a preliminary meeting held at the DC’s office here recently, Additional DC T. Yogesh said that the function would be organised jointly by the Department of Kannada and Culture and Madiwala Machaiah Samiti. He further said that a procession would be taken out that day from Kote Anjaneyaswamy Temple to Kalamandira.

Department of Kannada and Culture Assistant Director Chennappa, City Madiwala Sangha President Varuna Mahadeva, Samiti General Secretary Chennakeshava, District Sangha President Chandrashekar Byri and others were present during  the meeting.
