Mysuru: Mahabodhi School in city created a remarkable record by winning the Freedom Cup-2026 Football Tournament, organised by Delhi Public School, Mysuru, for the 11th consecutive time here, recently.

Mahabodhi School entered the tournament with determination and strong team spirit and remained unbeaten throughout the competition. The team began its campaign with a convincing three-goal victory, followed by a two-goal win in its second match.

In the semi-final, Mahabodhi School faced Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) and produced another impressive performance, securing a two-goal victory to book its place in the final.

The final match saw Mahabodhi School take on the host team, Delhi Public School, Mysuru. Displaying excellent coordination, discipline and determination, the Mahabodhi players secured a two-goal victory over the hosts and lifted the coveted Freedom Cup for the 11th successive year.

Adding to the celebrations, Bidyamoy Chakma of Mahabodhi School was also honoured with the Best Goalkeeper Award for his outstanding performance throughout the tournament.
