Mahajana Cadets attend NCC Youth Exchange Programme in Mauritius and Nepal

Mysuru: In recognition of their remarkable display of excellence and commitment to National Cadet Corps (NCC) in the Youth Exchange Programme (YEP) for the year 2024-25, two distinguished Cadets of SBRR Mahajana First Grade College (Autonomous) Jayalakshmipuram, Mysuru were felicitated during the college weekly assembly.

SUO B. Karthik of the 4B COY 13 KAR BN NCC and SUO M.S. Harshitha of the 1 KAR ARTY Battery of SBRR Mahajana First Grade College were           selected for the prestigious NCC Youth Exchange Programme to represent Karnataka and Goa NCC Directorate.

SUO Karthik was part of YEP team to Mauritius from Mar. 10 to 20 to represent India during  Mauritius Independence and Republic Day celebrations held on Mar. 12, where Prime Minister Modi was the chief guest.

SUO Harshitha attended the YEP in Nepal from Feb. 21 to Mar. 4, coinciding with the celebrations of Maha Shivarathri and 262nd Nepal Army Day.

The YEP team was accompanied by DG NCC Lt. Gen. Gurbirpal Singh during the celebration of Nepal Army day.

These programmes offered a unique opportunity for the cadets to engage with their counterparts from various countries, fostering international cooperation, cultural exchange and enhancing leadership skills. This is the first time in the history of Mahajana College that Cadets were selected to participate in the prestigious YEP.  

Chief guest Brijesh Patel, Dean of Harividyala, Mysuru, and MD of Challengers Academy, congratulated the Cadets for their remarkable achievements.

Also present were Dr. B.R. Jayakumari, Principal of SBRR Mahajana First Grade College, Flying Officer Dr. P.G. Pushparani and CTO V. Gayathri, who applauded the efforts of both Cadets and emphasised the value of such international experiences in personal and leadership development.
