Mahakumbhabhisheka held at Hunsur

Hunsur: Marking the 12th anniversary of Vasavi Kanyaka Parameshwari Temple, a three-day Mahakumbhabhisheka was held here recently.

Several pujas and homas were performed under the leadership of Pandit Maruthi Prasad from Bengaluru.

Sri Sachchidananda Saraswathi graced the occasion.

Vasavi troupe rendered Bhajans and Sugama Sangeetha Vasavi Youths presented a cultural programme. Mimicry Anand presented a humour programme. Raichur Sheshagiri Das rendered devotional songs.

A colourful procession carrying an idol of Vasavi Kanyaka Parameshwari was taken out through the main thoroughfares of the town accompanied by folk troupes.

Temple office-bearers H.N. Shashidar, Ashok Kumar, Subbaraj and others were present.
