Mysore/Mysuru: SBRR Mahajana First Grade College (FGC), Jayalakshmipuram, Mysuru, is hosting Maham-2023, a National-level Fest on July 17 and 18.

Hunsur MLA G.D. Harish Gowda will inaugurate the Fest tomorrow at 9.30 am at APJ Abdul Kalam Auditorium in the College premises. CII Chairman and Schevaran Laboratories Private Limited Managing Director Sam Cherian will be the chief guest.  Mahajana Education Society (MES) President T. Muralidhar Bhagavath will preside.

MES Hon. Secretary Dr. T. Vijayalakshmi Muralidhar, SBRR Mahajana FGC Principal Dr. B.R. Jayakumari, CEO and Academic Advisor Dr. S.R. Ramesh and Maham Teacher Coordinator and Kannada Department Head Dr. H.R. Thimmegowda will share the dais.

Maham-2023 will see a host of competitions that is open for PU and UG students from all streams. They are as follows:

● Cultural Events – Fashion, Folk, Street Play, Singing, Dance and Turncoat.

● Management Events: Vidhrta (Best CEO), Vikrant (Marketing), Vitta (Finance) and Chanakya (Business Quiz).

● Humanities Events: Incognito – The Mysterious Truth (Murder Investigation) and Master of the Mic (Anchoring).

● Science Events: Biocarnival – Exploring the Playful Side of Life Science and S. Cluedo – A perfect blend of scavenger hunt, fun activities and quiz.

● Technical Events- Byte for Bait (Hackathon) & Ode to Code – The Beauty of Logic (Coding).

● Recreational Events- Pancha Booth (Photography) &  Mystery of History (Treasure Hunt).

● Sports Events – Cricket, Football, Tug-of-War and Lagori.

The audience will witness a cultural extravaganza by Kannada Playback Singer Alok Kumar, Chethan Naik & Jois, Alaap, Kannada film stars Dhanveer, former Bigg Boss Contestants K.P. Aravind, Deepika Das, Mayuri, Divya Uruduga, Popular Television Host Niranjan Deshpande, SBRR Mahajana College Alumnus and Anchor Shreya Babu.
