Mahanthappa (62), retired Public Prosecutor and former Mysuru Bar Association President, passed away early this morning in Shivamogga following a heart attack. He had also served at the Lokayukta Office in Bengaluru. Mahanthappa had been to Shivamogga on work where he suffered a heart attack and died.

He leaves behind his wife, one son and a host of relatives and friends. Last rites were held at his native place Chennagiri today.

Mysuru District Bar Association has condoled the death of Mahanthappa.
