Mysuru:  Maharana Pratap Singh Jayanti will be celebrated in city on Sept.9 under the aegis of Maharana Pratap Singh Rajput Kshatriya Samaj. Announcing this at a press meet here on Thursday, Samaj Hon. President Dr. B. Gopal Singh said that the Jayanti celebrations will take place at Rajgopal Rashinkar Kalyana Mantap next to the Air Force Training Centre on Bannur Road.

Former Mayor H.N. Srikantaiah will inaugurate the Jayanti at 12 noon. Samaj President Sathyanarayan Singh will preside.

‘Chetak’ channel Editor B. Nagarathan Singh will felicitate ex-servicemen and meritorious children of the community, he said. Prior to the programme, a rally will be taken out at 10 am, he added.
