Mahashivaratri on Mar.4: City Police issue guidelines

Mysuru:  To ensure smooth conduct of Mahashivaratri festival on Mar.4, City Police have issued a few guidelines to prevent any untoward incidents.

According to the Police, wheeling and over-speeding by two-wheelers, drunken driving, gambling, use of loud-speakers without prior permission and screening of films on roadsides have been banned.

The Police have warned of initiating legal against those found breaking flower pots kept in front of houses, breaking empty bottles on roads, teasing women and children, harassing elderly people and other acts which disturb peace.

City Police Commissioner K.T. Balakrishna has urged the public to call Ph: 0821-2418339 or 100 if they come across those indulging in unlawful activities in city, according to a press release from the Office of the Public Relations Officer (PRO), City Police Commissioner’s Office, Mysuru.
