Mahayogi Vemana, Ambigara Chowdaiah and Shivayogi Siddarameshwara Jayanthis

The birth anniversaries of Mahayogi Vemana, Ambigara Chowdaiah and Shivayogi Siddarameshwara will be observed under the aegis of the Department of Kannada and Culture at Maneyangala in Kalamandira premises in city.

Mahayogi Vemana Jayanthi will be celebrated on Jan. 19 at 11 am, Ambigara Chowdaiah Jayanthi on Jan. 21 and Shivayogi Siddarameshwara Jayanthi on Jan. 25. Due to the pandemic, the birth anniversaries will be celebrated in a simple and symbolic manner by offering floral tributes to the portraits of these saint-poets at Maneyangala in Kalamandira premises, according to a press release from Kannada and Culture Department Assistant Director of Department H. Chennappa.
