Main road turning into a chaat street

October 8, 2026

Sir,

The main road behind the Banashankari Temple (RMP Road) in Kuvempunagar, Mysuru, is a busy road with heavy vehicular movement. It is also used by city buses travelling to Srirampura.

Recently, this road has been turned into a chaat street (food street). As a result, two-wheelers and cars are being parked along the road, creating a traffic hazard and increasing the risk of accidents at this junction.

I request the authorities to stop this immediately and ensure that the road is kept free for the smooth movement of traffic. With the Dasara festival fast approaching, quick action is needed to prevent inconvenience to motorists and avoid any untoward incidents.
