This is in response to the letter in SOM dated May 10 on the pathetic condition of Narayana Shastry Road (N.S. Road) in the heart of the city. I happened to pass by the same stretch a few days back and I am amazed to see that in spite of complaints there is no one to hear the pleas of a common man.

It has been more than 2 weeks since someone had brought forward this issue. Looks like there is such a big divider in the middle of the road! How can the authorities be so careless? Are they waiting for any untoward incident to happen before laying a tar road?

What are the elected representatives doing? Where are the funds being utilised? Once monsoon starts everybody will start giving the same old reason of rain delaying the work.

I request the local authorities, area Corporator and to whomsoever it may concern, to look into the issue and lay a tar road for the safety of people (motorists) at the earliest and make the N.S. Road motorable.
