Makeover: JSS Urban Haat to get 64 more stalls

January 30, 2020

Mysuru/Mysore: JSS Mysore Urban Haat, city’s prominent exhibition arena, will get a makeover in the coming days with several additions aimed at turning it into a tourist spot with activities round the year.

The Urban Haat will get 64 more permanent stalls in addition to the current 36 and a large amphitheatre as well as children’s play area.

Addressing a press meet yesterday, Dr. C. Ranganathaiah, Director (Projects & Development), JSS Mahavidyapeetha, said the proposed development works will be taken up with the Rs. 5 crore allocation in the State budget by the previous coalition Government.

He said the Urban Haat will be developed on the lines of Choki Dhani in Jaipur, which has events throughout the year from morning to midnight.

JSS Urban Haat functions under a public private partnership mode between State and Central Governments while the management rests with JSS Mahavidyapeetha.
