June 28, 2026

Mysuru: A woman has lodged a Police complaint accusing a man of collecting her documents on the pretext of getting her a Government loan and then utilising her documents to commit cyber crime.

In her complaint, the 45-year-old woman, a resident of Rajivnagar had come to Karnataka Bank at NR Mohalla to open a bank account when the man, who approached her told her that he was from Rajivnagar and he would get a Government subsidised loan. He then collected the woman’s Aadhaar Card and PAN Card and got the bank account opened.

The woman further accused that the man did not give her the debit card, pass book and other documents but used her bank account to commit cyber crimes. She later  lodged a complaint at city’s CEN Police Station.
