Mysuru: Krishnaraja (KR) Police have arrested a man on charges of posting obscene messages about a woman on a community WhatsApp group.

The arrested man is Rameshkumar Maali. Rameshkumar, who had created community WhatsApp group, had included the mobile phone numbers of one Varmaram Maali and his wife. After a few days, Varmaram and his wife left the group following which Rameshkumar began to harass them by send messages and calling them over the phone besides posting obscene messages about Varmaram’s wife on the community WhatsApp group.

Varmaram, who came to know about it through a relative, called Rameshkumar and questioned him during which Rameshkumar allegedly abused him using foul language besides issuing murder threats. Based on the complaint from Varmaram, KR Police, who have registered a case in this regard, arrested Rameshkumar Maali. Rameshkumar is a rowdy-sheeter, Police said.
