Mysore/Mysuru: Police personnel of the District Women’s Police Station have arrested a man, who after getting himself introduced to girls on various social media platforms, had allegedly exploited them sexually besides blackmailing them. The arrested man is B.J. Shivaprakash, a resident of Basavatike village in Nanjangud taluk.

It is learnt that, Shivaprakash, after getting himself introduced to the girls, used to tell them that he was in love with them, sexually exploit them during which he used to make videos secretly and later blackmail the girls.

Shivaprakash, who got himself introduced to a girl from Mysuru, had made a video of her and later blackmailed her by saying that he would upload the video on internet. He had taken about Rs. 20 lakh from the girl and when he again began to pester her for more money, the girl lodged a complaint at the Women’s Police Station.

The Police, who registered a case, arrested Shivaprakash and have interrogated him.
