Man brutally assaulted with lethal weapons

Mysore/Mysuru: In a shocking incident, a man, who was sipping tea at a tea stall on Bidaram Krishnappa Road, behind Ambedkar Bhavan in Devaraja Mohalla, was allegedly assaulted by a gang with lethal weapons this noon. The gang fled soon after committing the crime.

It is learnt that the man, whose identity is yet to be known, was sipping tea at the tea stall at about 12 noon, when a gang of eight persons, who came in an Innova vehicle, brutally attacked the man with machetes and other lethal weapons before fleeing leaving the severely bleeding man at the spot.

The profusely bleeding person was rushed to K.R. Hospital, where he is being treated. Devaraja Police, who rushed to the spot, conducted mahazar, registered a case and visited K.R. Hospital to collect information from the injured.

Devaraja Police were collecting footages of CCTV cameras installed in the vicinity of the crime spot to identify the vehicle in which the gang had come to commit the crime, when we went to the Press.
