Mysuru: An incident of a man cheating a prospective house buyer to the tune of Rs. 22 lakh, has been reported from Alanahalli here in city.

The person, who has been cheated has been identified as Somanna, a resident of Alanahalli and the person who allegedly cheated him has been identified as Gopalakrishna, a resident of Lal Bahadur Shastri Nagar here.

According to the complaint filed at Alanahalli Police Station by Somanna, Gopalakrishna asked Somanna to come to his residence and spoke to him in a pleasant way gaining his confidence. Gopalakrishna then told Somanna that there was a flat for sale opposite to his (Gopalakrishna) house and told Somanna that he would get him the flat if he was interested to buy it.

The complaint further stated that Somanna who believed Gopalakrishna, gave him Rs. 22 lakh towards the purchase of the flat and when Somanna asked Gopalakrishna to give him the keys of the flat as he had purchased it, Gopalakrishna threatened him with life.

Somanna in his complaint has sought Police to take action against Gopalakrishna.
