Man dies after falling from moped

Mysore/Mysuru: A moped rider died after falling from his moped near Alagaiahna Hundi on Bannur Road yesterday night.

The deceased is Mahadeva (32), a roadside fruit vendor in city and a resident of Moodalahundi in the taluk.

Mahadeva, after closing his business for the day, was proceeding towards his home on his TVS moped and when he neared Alagaiahna Hundi at about 11.45 pm, he is said to have lost control of his moped and fell down. Mahadeva, who suffered serious head injuries reportedly died on the spot.

Varuna Sub-Inspector Lakshmi and staff, who rushed to the spot, conducted mahazar, shifted the body to MMC&RI mortuary besides registering a case.
