Man dies under mysterious circumstances in Veeranagere

A man has been found dead under mysterious circumstances at Veeranagere here yesterday afternoon.

The deceased has been identified as Neelakanta (42), son of late Veerappa and a resident of Veeranagere in city.

It is reported that Neelakanta has six brothers and sisters, who are married and settled in various localities in city, while Neelakanta, who was addicted to liquor, was a bachelor and was staying at his house in Veeranagere.

Yesterday morning, the neighbours who noticed foul smell emanating from Neelakanta’s house, informed the Police, who rushed to the place, only to find Neelakanta dead. The reason for his death is yet to be ascertained.

The Police, who conducted mahazar, shifted the body to MMC&RI mortuary, where post-mortem was conducted and the body was later handed over to the relatives.

Lashkar Police, who have registered a case in this regard, are investigating.
