Mandya: In a tragic incident, a man who was dancing to DJ music during the immersion of Ganesha idol, collapsed and died after suffering from heart attack at Jothanapura village, K.R. Pet taluk in Mandya district on Sunday.

The deceased has been identified as Manjunath (55). On Sunday afternoon, the idol of Lord Ganesha awas being taken in a procession for immersiobn during which DJ music was being played.

Manjunath and others were dancing to the music during which he suffered a heart attack, collapsed on the ground and breathed his last.

The video of Manjunath dancing and suddenly collapsing on the ground has been captured on mobile phone cameras which has gone viral on social media.

Man dies after falling from tractor

In another incident, a man fell from the tractor carrying the Ganesha idol for immersion at Harave village, Hunsur taluk of Mysuru district.

The deceased is Auto Raju (34), a resident of the village.

The idol of Lord Ganesha was being taken in a procession in the tractor for immersion. When the vehicle came near the house of Raju, he climbed the tractor and was performing puja to the idol when he fell down from the tractor.

He is said to have breathed his last midway to the hospital.
