Mysuru: A man, who had sustained serious burn injuries and admitted to  K.R. Hospital in city, has succumbed at the hospital. His wife too had sustained burns and is undergoing treatment.

While the deceased is Shivanna, his wife is Nagamma, residents of Nandini Layout in city.

Shivanna had sustained severe burns when he reportedly lit fire to heat water on Wednesday morning. His wife Nagamma, who rushed to his help, also sustained burns.

Shivanna and Nagamma were rushed to K.R. Hospital by their neighbours, where Shivanna succumbed to burns.
