Man electrocuted

Mysuru: A 60-year-old man was electrocuted at an under-construction building near Gandhi Square in city on Monday evening.

The deceased has been identified as Akbar Khan, an electrician and a resident of Shanthinagar in city.

He was providing power connections to a few shops in Olympia Theatre building when he suffered electrocution at about 7 pm yesterday.

Deceased Akbar was working as an electrician since a few years. Power connection to a couple of shops in the theatre building were disconnected and the shopkeepers had called Akbar to restore the connection.

It is learnt that the tragedy struck, when Akbar was  fixing power connection, .

Devaraja Police who rushed to the spot, conducted mahazar and shifted the body to MMC&RI mortuary for post-mortem.

Devaraja Police who have registered a case are investigating.
