Mysuru: A 35-year-old man ended his life by hanging self at a house in Sathagalli Layout last night.

The deceased has been identified as Palani, a native of Tamil Nadu. Palani, a skilled labourer from Tamil Nadu, had been staying at a house in Sathagalli Layout, which he had been reportedly contracted to do alteration work. But Palani hanged himself from a ceiling fan of the house last evening and the incident came to light a couple of hours later, it is learnt.

The reason for his extreme step is not known.

Udayagiri Police, who rushed to the spot on information, conducted mahazar and shifted the body to MMC&RI mortuary.
