Mysuru: A loader at Mysuru New Goods Terminal (MNGT) Yard ended his life by hanging self to the iron grill of a Government School compound at Metagalli and the incident came to light this morning.

The deceased has been identified as Santosh (33), a resident of Metagalli in city.

It is said that Santosh initially slashed his wrists in a bid to end his life and later hanged self with a towel. Passersby, who saw Santosh hanging from the iron grill of the Government School compound and informed Metagalli Police.

The Police, who reached the spot, conducted mahazar, registered a case and shifted the body to MMC&RI mortuary for post-mortem.  The reason for Santosh to take the extreme step is yet to be known.
