Mysore/Mysuru: A 30-year-old debt-ridden man committed suicide by hanging self from a tree in a park at Telecom Layout in city on Monday.

The suicide came to light yesterday, when morning walkers noticed the body hanging from a tree and informed the Police.

Mahesh, a resident of Prashanth Nagar, is the one who ended his life after leaving a death note, which stated “I am responsible for my death.”

Saraswathipuram Police, who rushed to the spot, conducted mahazar, registered a case and shifted the body to MMC&RI mortuary for post-mortem.

It is learnt that Mahesh, a labourer, had taken loans and unable to repay them, he ended his life. The body was handed over to the family members later.
