Man falls from coconut tree, dies

Mysuru: In a tragic incident, a professional coconut plucker, who was hired to pluck tender coconuts, died in the hospital after he had sustained severe injuries when he fell from the tree at Ashokapuram here this morning.

The deceased has been identified as Ramesh (36), a resident of Ashokapuram 4th Cross here.

Ramesh was hired to pluck tender coconuts from a tree on the 9th Cross in the same locality this morning. After plucking tender coconuts, Ramesh was climbing down the tree, when he reportedly slipped and fell from the 30 ft. tall tree.

Though he was rushed to K.R. Hospital, Ramesh breathed his last after some time. His body was shifted to MMC&RI mortuary for post-mortem.

Ashokapuram Police visited the spot.
