Man fined Rs. 3,000 for dumping construction debris on Bogadi Ring Road

Mysore/Mysuru: In a bid to tackle the menace of construction debris being dumped on the Outer Ring Road, the Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) officials have collected a fine of Rs. 3,000 from a vehicle owner for dumping construction debris near Anandnagar on  Bogadi Ring Road.

A team of MCC officials led by MCC Zone 3 Zonal Officer Shivanandamurthy and comprising Zone 3 Development Officer T.S. Sathyamurthy, Environment Engineer Sridevi and Health Inspector Geetha, who were on their regular rounds on the Ring Road saw construction debris dumped near Anandnagar on June 17.

The officials, who collected information from the public, traced one Marikenchegowda, who was driving the vehicle yesterday and fined him Rs. 3,000. The MCC officials have warned of initiating legal action on those who are found dumping garbage, construction debris and wastes on the sides of Ring Road and other non-designated places.
