Man found dead in lodge

A man, who had come to city for business purpose and was staying in a room he had taken for rent at a lodge in Santhepet here, was found dead at his room on Friday night.

The deceased has been identified as Amruth Singh (40), a native of Rajasthan.

The staff of the lodge, who grew suspicious as Amruth Singh did not come out of the room on Friday, peeped through the window at about 10.30 pm and saw Amruth lying on the bed.

The staff, who went near him after opening the door using another key, found him dead and informed Devaraja Police.

The Police, who rushed to the lodge on receiving information, conducted mahazar, informed the relatives of the deceased over the phone and shifted the body to MMC&RI mortuary for post-mortem.

Devaraja Police, who have registered a case in this regard, are investigating.
