Man found hanging; murder suspected

Bettadapura: Mystery shrouds over the death of a man, who was found hanging in a field at Bettadapura village yesterday and the deceased’s son, suspecting foul play has lodged a complaint at Bettadapura Police Station.

The deceased has been identified as Rajachari (50) of Bettadapura. His body was found in a private field, opposite to the First Grade College in a hanging position. As the body bore wounds, Rajachari’s son Sharath, suspecting that his father has been murdered and later hanged, has filed a Police complaint.

Bettadapura Police visited the spot along with dog squad and fingerprint experts and conducted an inspection. The body was later shifted to MMC&RI mortuary in Mysuru for post-mortem.

Circle Inspector Prakash, SI Prakash M. Yettimani, ASI Kumar and others were present.
