Hunsur: A body of a 40-year-old man was found hanging at Kodi Malleshwaraswamy Temple premises in Bilikere in a suspicious manner.
The deceased is Mahadeva (40), son of Mahadevanayaka and a resident of Kumarabeedu, Yelwal hobli in the taluk.
Mahadeva, who had left his house 10 years ago, had married a Dalit girl from Kammarahalli and was staying in Kodagu.
He used to come to his parents’ house quiet often but his parents were not entertaining him as he had married against their wishes, it is learnt. But on Sunday night, he was found hanging.
Bilikere Police SI M. Nayak and staff, who rushed to the spot, conducted mahazar, registered a case and shifted the body for post-mortem and later handed over the body to his family members.
Circle Inspector Shivakumar visited the spot.
