Man held for stealing autorickshaw fare meters

Mysuru:  Mandi Police have arrested a 30-year-old man on charges of stealing autorickshaw fare meters from various localities and have recovered four meters worth about Rs. 17,000 from him.

The accused has been identified as Salim Pasha, a resident of Lashkar Mohalla. The Police caught Pasha, when he stealing fare meter from an autorickshaw which was parked near Ahamedhi School in Kailaspuram here on Apr. 19.

During interrogation, the accused is said to have confessed of stealing the meters from autorickshaws which are parked in front of houses during nights at various localities. Based on the information provided by the accused, the Police have recovered four fare meters from him. Mandi Police, have registered a case.
