Man killed as bike hits scooter

Mysore/Mysuru: A 38-year-old man, who was bringing his daughter from school was killed while his wife and daughter sustained injuries, when a bike rammed into the scooter they were riding near Parasaiahnahundi in the taluk yesterday morning.

While the deceased has been identified as Panishahi, a Railway employee, the injured are 37-year-old Vinutha and six-year-old Dhatri, all residents of J.P. Nagar in city.

The bike rider, who had reportedly rammed into the scooter, has been identified as Mahesh, who too has been injured in the incident.

Yesterday morning, Panishahi along with his wife Vinutha, were bringing their daughter back from the school, when Mahesh, who came from the opposite direction rammed into the scooter, killing Panishahi on the spot and injuring his (Panishahi) wife and daughter.

Mysuru Rural Police, who have registered a case, are investigating.
