Man killed in bike collision

Nanjangud: A 32-year-old man was killed on the spot when a bike rammed into his bike near Hullahalli Circle here last night.

The deceased has been identified as Jagadeesha, an employee of a Petrol Bunk in Nanjangud.

Jagadeesh was proceeding to Yathri Bhavan to attend a marriage ceremony on his Honda Shine bike (KA-09-HP-1639), when three persons on a Hero Honda Splendor bike (KA-09-HK-8890) rammed into his bike from behind resulting in his death on the spot.

Nanjangud Traffic SI Anand and staff who rushed to the spot, conducted mahazar and shifted the body to Nanjangud General Hospital and the three injured to K.R. Hospital in Mysuru.

The injured have been identified as Yogesh, Mahesh and Chethan, all residents of Horalawadi in Nanjangud taluk. It is learnt that Yogesh was riding the bike with Mahesh and Chethan on pillion when the mishap took place. Nanjangud Traffic Police, who have registered a case in this regard, are investigating.
