Yalandur: In a tragic incident, an employee of a Convent in Mysuru killed his woman colleague and later he also committed suicide in the town yesterday.
According to Police, the deceased has been identified as Gurusiddaiah (38) of Panyadahundi village in Chamarajanagar taluk and Mangalamma (35) of a village in T. Narasipur taluk. The duo was working in a Convent in Mysuru. They came to the town on Tuesday last and checked into a lodge near the KSRTC Bus Stand. However, they had not come out of their room for three days. In the meantime, on Friday, the lodge owner observed bad odour coming from the room and informed the Police.
When the room door was opened, the Cops found the body of a woman who was said to have been strangulated to death. The man had committed suicide by hanging inside toilet. According to preliminary information, they are said to be the employees of a Convent in Mysuru.
The Police are yet to find out their relationship. Families of both deceased persons were informed about the incident, Yalandur Circle Inspector M. Shivamadaiah told Star of Mysore.
Kollegal Dy.SP Nagaraju, Yalandur Circle Inspector M. Shivamadaiah and SI Karibasaiah visited the spot. Yalandur Police have registered a case and are investigating.
