Man murders wife suspecting fidelity

September 20, 2017

Mysuru: A man, suspecting fidelity by his wife, allegedly stabbed her to death at the house in Hootagalli here yesterday afternoon.

While the deceased has been identified as Shanthamani (30), an employee of a private firm here, the man has been identified as Sundar Raj, a tailor by profession. It is reported Sundar Raj, who suspected his wife’s fidelity, used to quarrel with her frequently and had reportedly asked her to stop going to work which Shanthamani did not oblige.

Angered over his wife not listening to him, Sundar Raj, who left the house yesterday morning, returned in the afternoon and stabbed her to death. He then fled to his native place Toralli in H.D. Kote taluk.

Meanwhile, the neighbours who came to know about the incident, informed Vijayanagar Police, who rushed to the spot, conducted mahazar and shifted the body to JSS Hospital mortuary. The Police, who came to know that Sundar Raj was hiding in his native place, rushed to Toralli, arrested him and interrogated him.
