T. Narasipur:  A 38-year-old man was killed after being electrocuted while another suffered injuries when they were repairing a water motor pump near Mannahundi village in Kiragasuru Gram Panchayat limits, T. Narasipur taluk last night.

While the deceased is Krishnappa, the injured, who has been admitted to K.R. Hospittal in Mysuru is identified as Nagaraju.

It is learnt that Krishnappa had gone to repair the motor pump following instructions from Kiragasur Panchayat Development Officer (PDO) during which he was electrocuted and died on the spot.

Villagers have alleged that Krishnappa died due to the negligence of Gram Panchayat President Ashwin and PDO Sowmyalatha.
