Man succumbs to injuries

Mysuru: Ramesh (25), a resident of Kalihundi village in Nanjangud taluk, who was grievously injured in a mishap yesterday, succumbed as the treatment did not yield result.

The Police said that Ramesh was travelling in a Tata Ace (KA-11 B-0558) goods vehicle towards Gundlupet to Nanjangud when the vehicle toppled near Tagaluru Gate at around 10.30 am as the vehicle driver Kumar lost control.

Ramesh was shifted to JSS Hospital where he succumbed at around 3.30 pm. Begur PSI Kiran Kumar, who registered the case, shifted Ramesh’s body to MMC&RI for post-mortem after which it was handed over to his relatives.
