July 12, 2025

Mysore/Mysuru: An alert person thwarted a bid to sell the stolen goats at Pandavapura Fair in Mandya. The suspected thief was later handed over to Kuvempunagar Police in Mysuru city.

Ravikumar, a resident of Ramakrishnanagar ‘I’ block in city has been eking out a living through cattle rearing and goat rearing, along with vending milk. He has about 22 cows and 10 goats. On Thursday morning about 5.30 am, Ravikumar loosened the goats in the shed towards the compound and went to the milk dairy.

Meanwhile, he received a call from his friend Madhu, who informed about his two goats up for sale at Pandavapura Fair. Ravikumar, who feigned ignorance over selling any of the livestock, rushed home to see four goats missing. He soon alerted Madhu, who in turn caught hold of the suspect selling goats.

Ravikumar, who went to Pandavapura Fair, brought the suspect to Mysuru and handed him over to Kuvempunagar Police. The Police are quizzing the suspect, it is said.
