Mysuru: Bishop of Mandya Rev. Dr. Antony Kariyil congratulating the toppers for having excelled in their studies through hard work, commitment and dedication advised the students to continue with their effort, stressed on developing work culture and reminded that the biggest exam is life itself.
He was speaking after honouring the meritorious Catholic students of Mysore Diocesan Education Society of SSLC, PUC, Degree, Post Graduate and other professional courses from the districts of Mysuru, Mandya, Chamarajanagar and Kodagu at St. Philomena’s Indoor Auditorium here on Tuesday and stressed on the need to develop work ethics through examples and parables.
Rev. Dr. K.A. William, Bishop of Mysore, in his presidential address, said: “You are the brick makers of the healthy society. You have not just received certificates but you also have the responsibility to continue the hard work and gain knowledge.”
Around 280 students were awarded certificates and cash prize, out of which 80 were from SSLC, 40 each from PUC, Degree and Post Graduates and other Professional Courses.
St. Joseph’s First Grade College students presented the invocation dance.
